Each hassle-free guided holiday experience takes in top destination highlights; and offers you safe luxury transport, excellent accommodation and fine dining, fully supported by professional, caring service.

Day 1: Johannesburg

Upon arrival you will be collected at the OR Tambo Airport and transferred to the Hotel. You check in and have time to relax before you are collected for a Soweto  Tour. After the tour you are dropped off at the Hotel.

Day 2: Johannesburg to the Kruger Park

You depart OR Tambo International Airport, heading in an easterly direction for a flight time of only 50 minutes.

You will be collected by your guide and transferred to Skukuza camp, through the Kruger National Park, in an open vehicle. The transfer from the airport to the camp takes about 15 minutes and is a leisurely drive stopping for wildlife en route.

After settling in to your accommodations (twin bed chalets with en suite bathrooms), you go out on your first game drive which is a SAN PARKS sunset drive. A sunset drive affords you the opportunity to see nocturnal animals that are more active at night and the Park’s rangers are allowed to return after the normal gate closing times. Note that these drives take place in one of the Kruger Park’s vehicles with a Park’s ranger. This is not a private game drive and there may be other guests on this drive. (Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on open vehicle drives.)

Dinner is a three course meal, served el fresco at our private camp within Skukuza. Wine is served with dinner but guests are welcome to bring along additional / alternative drinks which can be purchased at the shop.

Day 3 & 4: Morning & Afternoon Safari Drives

Safaris are all about early mornings, getting out there and seeing animals! The time you go on your Game Drive varies according to the seasons and camp gate opening times. We have tea or coffee with muffins and fruit before departing on the Game Drive which will take approximately 3-4 hours. Your guide has an intimate knowledge of the park, which contributes a great deal towards brilliant sightings!

On returning to Skukuza brunch will be ready at our camp. You then have time to enjoy a swim, visit the Skukuza museum, visit the park shop which includes African curios, general food items and drinks, take a walk around the camp, or simply relax at the viewing platform in front of the restaurant, which overlooks the Sabie River. Be sure to bring your binoculars, Skukuza Rest Camp is also a bird watcher’s paradise!
After a siesta we set off on the afternoon Kruger Park game drive. We conduct all our game drives in specially adapted 4×4 open game drive vehicles to allow our guests the best possible vantage point.

We share African safari stories at the camp fire under the stars after a scrumptious dinner served at our camp.

Day 5: Kruger Park to Cape Town

The sun rises over our final day in the Park and we have one last chance to find the animals that have eluded us thus far. After breakfast you are transferred back to Skukuza Airport for your flight to Cape Town.

Upon your arrival in Cape Town you will be collected and transferred to the Hotel and the rest of your day is spent at leisure.

Day 6: Cape Town

Today is spent at your own leisure in Cape Town. There are many things to do in and around the city including boat, cultural, walking and city tours or spend the day lazing at the beach.

Day 7: Cape Town to Agulhas

Today’s route takes us along the Coastal Whale Watching Route, through one of the most scenic parts of our country. We depart from Cape Town between 06h30 – 07h30. We stop en-route in the town of Hermanus to have lunch (own expense). The Southern Right Whales breed along this coastline between June and November.

After lunch we head to the southernmost tip of Africa. We keep a sharp eye out for the Cape Grysbok in the fynbos or Cape fur seals and Dolphins playing in the surf. We reach our overnight destination in time to appreciate one of the most spectacular sunsets in the world from the patios of our fisherman’s cottages, in sight of the ocean.

Your Guide will then prepare dinner which will be served al fresco outside one of the cabins. Wine is served with dinner but guests are welcome to bring along additional / alternative drinks which can be purchased at the shop.

Day 8: Agulhas to Tsitsikamma

Our route takes us through the scenic regions of the Overberg and Langeberg where fruit and wheat is produced. These rolling grasslands are known to be home to the endangered Blue Crane, which is South Africa’s national bird and we may be fortunate enough to spot some of these beautiful birds. Our journey will take us along the world renowned Garden Route and past the picturesque coastal towns nestled in the lake and lagoon region at the foot of the Outeniqua mountains. Then we reach Tsitsikamma, the jewel of the Southern Cape in time for lunch (own expense).

After lunch and checking into our accommodation we take a hike to a Waterfall to explore the beauty of the rare indigenous forest and impressive coastline. If we are lucky we might spot the Cape clawless otter hunting in the streams and surf.

Your Guide will then prepare dinner which will be served al fresco outside one of the cabins. Wine is served with dinner but guests are welcome to bring along additional / alternative drinks which can be purchased at the shop.

Day 9: Tsitsikamma to Addo Elephant Park

In the early morning we take a hike in search of the beautiful but elusive Knysna Turaco and depart after breakfast to the world renowned Addo Elephant Park. We travel through forest and plantation to the semi arid region of the Southern Cape with several opportunities to see some of the rare Raptor species that make this area their home.

After we arrive at the Addo Elephant Park we have a short Game Drive in our closed tour vehicle. We then have lunch (own expense) at the main rest camp and check into our accommodation. This afternoon you head out on an afternoon game drive, conducted by a SANParks ranger, in an open game drive vehicle. This drive generally takes about 3 hours and tends to extend into the early evening, affording guests the possibility of spotting some nocturnal animals.

Your Guide will then prepare dinner which will be served al fresco outside one of the cabins. Wine is served with dinner but guests are welcome to bring along additional / alternative drinks which can be purchased at the shop.

Day 10: Addo Elephant Park

We spend the morning and afternoon exploring the park in our tour vehicle. We search of some great photo opportunities and experience African Wildlife at its best! Addo Elephant Park offers a unique eco system and is home to a huge variety of wildlife, including the Big Five Animals as well as plains game, Black Backed Jackal, Tortoises and Dung Beetles (who have right of way!).

We’ll return to camp for breakfast after the morning game drive and have time for a siesta & lunch (own expense) before heading out on our afternoon game drive.

Your Guide will then prepare dinner which will be served al fresco outside one of the cabins. Wine is served with dinner but guests are welcome to bring along additional / alternative drinks which can be purchased at the shop.

Day 11: Addo to Oudtshoorn

After an early wake-up we pack up and enjoy a last game drive on our way out of the park. We will stop for breakfast en-route in one of the small villages.

The scenery along Route 62 is vastly different from what we have experienced during the first couple of days of our safari as lush green coastal forests makes way for a much more austere environment with stark landscapes. This area is situated between the Outeniqua & the Swartberg Mountain ranges and is world renowned for its ostrich farming. We stop for lunch en-route in one of the quaint towns (own expense)

We spend the night in Oudtshoorn, the Ostrich capital of the world. Your Guide will then prepare dinner which will be served al fresco outside one of the cabins. Wine is served with dinner but guests are welcome to bring along additional / alternative drinks which can be purchased at the shop

Day 12: Oudtshoorn to Cape Town

We explore the area west of Oudtshoorn after a leisurely breakfast. This area is know for producing fruit and dairy and has some interesting towns with brandy distilleries & cheese factories. We stop for lunch en-route (own expense).

We pass through Elgin & Grabouw, known for its fruit production. We cross the Hottentots Holland Mountains, which has spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. Finally we see False Bay and the Cape Peninsula in the distance with Table Mountain watching over Cape Town. We plan to be back in Cape Town between 16h00 & 17h00, with drop-off points at both Cape Town International airport and the V & A Waterfront.

Day 13: Cape Town

Spend today at your own leisure in Cape Town and visit the many sights Cape Town has to offer such as Robben Island, Table Mountain Cableway, a wine farm, seal colony, or a day tour of the Cape Peninsula.

Day 14: Departure Day

After a leisurely breakfast, you are expected to check out from the hotel by 10:00 am. You can spend the rest of the day in Cape Town before being transferred to the Cape Town Airport.
