Experience the sights, sounds and wonders of the Kruger Park on this 4 day Cape to Kruger Camping Safari staying at Pretoriuskop Rest Camp. The safari experience includes daily morning and afternoon open vehicle safaris and also offers optional activities such as guided walks, night drives, and panorama tours.
The intimate safari camp has safari tents all equipped with comfortable beds, camp chairs, large windows and there is a large tented dining area and an inviting fire pit. The communal bathrooms and safari tents are serviced daily and each tent has a small deck looking onto the camp fire. The safari tents have two single beds and a fan to cool you down in summer and electric blankets to warm the cold winter evenings.
Today you make your way to Cape Town International Airport for your early morning flight to the Kruger Park. On arrival, you will be collected and transferred to the camp.
You will go out on your first Game Drive (SANParks Sunset Drive) after settling into your accommodation. A sunset drive affords you the opportunity to see nocturnal African Wildlife. The Kruger Park’s rangers are allowed to return after the normal gate closing times. Note that this is not a private Game Drive and that other guests may be joining you on this drive.
(Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on open vehicle drives.)
On returning to the Camp, a three-course dinner awaits you.
We have tea or coffee before departing on the morning Game Drive which will take approximately 3-4 hours. Your guide has an intimate knowledge of the park, which contributes a great deal towards brilliant sightings!
On returning to Camp brunch will be ready at our camp. You then have time to enjoy a swim, visit the visit the park shop which includes African curios, general food items and drinks, take a walk around the camp, or simply relax.
Late afternoon we set off on the afternoon Kruger Park game drive. in an open safari jeep.
We share African safari stories at the camp fire under the stars after a scrumptious dinner served at the camp.
The final day of your Kruger Park Safari will be your last chance to see the Big Five Animals that have eluded you thus far. After breakfast we return to Johannesburg. The drive back takes at least 6 hours and guests are advised to sleep over in Johannesburg on this night.
